Morality in Media – ANOTHER VICTORY TO REPORT!

Yesterday, we had another important meeting. Morality in Media had a productive meeting with GOOGLE about how they can help protect individuals, families and children from exploitation. We are very optimistic about their efforts to help equip individuals and families with better tools. They are prepared to continue working with us in the future.

BACKGROUND: We listed Google on both our 2013 and 2014 Dirty Dozen List because of their involvement in and profit from pornography in Google Play, Google Ads, YouTube and more.

They just recently removed all pornographic apps and most sexual apps from Google Play!

They have improved safe search and safety mode and have an awesome tool for parents in their Safety Center.

We are making HUGE STRIDES FORWARD! Take a minute to just celebrate this small victory with us.

Special thanks to Concerned Women For America, Family Research Council, Focus on the Family, Covenant Eyes, and Net Nanny Community for coming to the meeting with us. It really helped!

FCC-logoMEETING WITH THE FCC

We’ve had a busy, productive week! Our meeting with the newly appointed Chairman of the FCC, Tom Wheeler, left us enthusiastic that our efforts are making a difference. Chairman Wheeler’s fortified his commitment to maintaining the current decency standards, affirming a new standard to allow nudity will not be implemented.

THE SUMMIT IS

NEXT WEEK!

The Coalition to End Sexual Exploitation 2014 Summit is finally happening and we’re so excited!

With experts and leaders in the movement ready to teach us about the issue, we will all come away more capable to fight the harms of pornography in our own homes and communities.

We are at capacity, but you can still register if you’re able to make it! Please come!

Keep fighting.

Thank you for your support!
